It is barely a week into the new year 2022 but some thrilling drama has emerged and got people and everybody talking.

There have been several things happening just for these past days but some are magnetizing and attracting the attention of Ghanaians in the country on a disparate amount of levels.

This involves some renowned personalities in the country that we all know notably among are some 3 key personalities who have been on the top trend for the past three days that we will be discussing in this article.

The Vice President

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia through some news portals or reports is noted to have cordially visited some numbers of various Christian Churches at Kumasi in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana on the 31st of December 2021 for the watch night or crossing over into the year 2022.

The Vice  President together with his beloved wife Samira Bawumia visited Christian Churches to join them in their fellowship services for the passing into the new year.

Dr Mahudu Bawumia through the church services urges religious leaders, Christians and every individual to ensure tolerance among each other to champion the campaign for peace in the country.

"I am a Muslim but I am comfortable being in the church because we believe in the God of Isaac, Jacob and Jesus Christ. For us Christians and Muslims, we have so many things in common that bind us together. We all believe in God the Father Almighty and the miraculous virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us all whether Christian or Muslim or whatever religious persuasion, work together, live peacefully together and pray for each other and our dear nation", Vice President speech at st Peters Catherdral in Kumasi.

Because of the remorse actions of the Vice President and the Second Lady of the country, there have been trending comments and reactions from Ghanaians and for that matter, their names have been on the lips of some citizens in the country notably the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians and individuals applauded and commended the vice president and his wife Samira for exercising an exemplary lifestyle of peaceful coexistence among different religions while others believe that their acts are born out of political interests.

James Agyenim Boateng Rubbish Bawumia For Attending Church

Furthermore, others dugs his past and present it to him most especially members of the opposition parties in the country.

For instance, James Agyenim Boateng who is an Aide to the former president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama on his social media Twitter page rubbish the actions of the vice president and his wife describing it as hypocritical considering he subtly lambast his boss, former President Mahama some months ago for attending a Muslim event.

In the said event disclosed by James Agyenim Boateng, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia jokingly referred to John Mahama as 'Muslim John' when he was making comments after the former President remarks that having shown dexterity at knowing the tenets of Islam in his speech.

On that note, the Aide to the former president, James Agyenim Boateng with regards to that took to his Twitter page and wrote", A man who mocks another man for attending an Islamic program cannot be celebrated attending Christian programmes. Neither can he be described as having an admirable sense of religious tolerance. Stop the hypocrisy!".

Dancehall Artiste Shatta Wale

Also, a renowned dancehall artist in the country, Charles Nii Armah who is popularly known as Shatta Wale has stolen the attention of Ghanaians and have also emerged to be on the list of the most top trending since he made some rather wild comments at the Freedom Concert in the 25th of December 2021.

It is noted that Shatta Wale has described a Nigerian Artist as 'stupid' for opting that he Shatta Wale couldn't move the crowd during his performance.

" do know that majority of people in the Ghana Music industry are fools?. They told me I won't be able to fill the stadium. I don't look up to Nigerian Artist I look up to my fans", Shatta Wale comments.

However, these made comments from Shatta Wale have ignited repulsive reactions from the Nigerians who found it to be offensive.

Nigel Gaisie and Umofia

Another thrilling top trend that has got many people busily taking and reacting to is when the name of Umofia emerged after the Founder and Leader of the Prophetic Chapel Hill, Prophet Nigel Gaisie who allegedly disclosed a prophecy about a country that God had revealed to him according to his revelation.

He, therefore, indicated that his prophecy is much focused on the nation Umofia instead of Ghana rationalising that it was because of certain repression going on.

This turn of events was mostly due to a caution given through a release by the Police Services against certain utterances at church services that tend to cause fear and panic in the citizens of the country.
