Pancakes are very simple to make and without doubt very tasty. Want to try out something new from breakfast besides cookies and bread , TRY THIS..

A pancake is a thin and round cake which is usually prepared by mixing flour, eggs, milk and butter among other ingredients. Usually, it is cooked on a pan with oil. Pancake is a favorite dish for many people. It is often eaten with tea, milk or coffee especially during breakfast.

  




Tatale is a district in the northern region of the country, but the world knows it as a staple food, nowadays a street food of the Ghanaian cuisine. It’s a very easily made pancake, from very ripe, blackened plantains. 


Ingredients

2 yellow plantains (very ripe)


½ cup corn flour (fine corn meal)


1 onion , chopped


1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger


1 small lemon (freshly squeezed)


½ teaspoon red pepper powder


½ pinch salt


Vegetable oil (for frying)


Methods

Cut the plantains, place in an enormous bowl and promptly sprinkle with lemon juice.



With a fork, squash the plantains and add the onion and ginger.


Add the corn flour, bean stew and salt and blend well in with a wooden spoon.


In a profound skillet, heat a lot of vegetable oil over medium hotness.


Keep up with the temperature of the oil around 340 F (175 C) during fricasseeing.


Structure balls the size of a ping pong ball, smooth them somewhat and fry on the two sides until they are brilliant brown.

Serve right away.

This pancake easy recipe can be used by any person who wants to learn how to prepare pancakes. There are several pancake types. The taste and flavor depends on the ingredients used. In some cases, milk can be substituted with eggs and vice versa.


Pancake nutrition

Carbohydrates are important in the body as they provide sufficient amounts of energy to enable people carry out activities. Interestingly, the amount of fiber in a pancake can be increased. This can be done by adding chia or flax seeds. A person can also use whole wheat when making pancakes to ensure that it is healthy.
