Former deputy minister of transport and aide to former President John Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has waded into the conversation about a state-of-the-art stadium constructed in honour of Gabby Asare Otchere Darko's mum in Kyebi.
Reacting to the issue on ALHAJI and ALHAJI on Pan African TV, the lawyer expressed shock about the silence of civil society organizations, media, religious leaders and other voices who criticized appointees of John Mahama for doing similar projects in honour of their parents.
It will be recalled that Gabby Asare Otchere Darko the nephew of President Akufo-Addo commissioned a state-of-the-art stadium in honour of his late mother in their hometown, Kyebi which has sparked various conversations.
You know Sena, I will never want to succumb to any illusions that all these grandours conversation and talks that are going on are matters that we should be taking lightly. I have no doubt in my mind that this level of stealing, thievery, and clear acts of unparalleled corruption in the history of this country should not go unpunished."
Mrs. Bawa Mogtari indicated that if the Attorney-General is interested in fighting corruption, he should pursue those corrupt elements in government.
