Today the 9th Of January 2022,the Rev.Dr. Lawson Kwaku Dzanku was inducted into office as the new clerk of the General Assembly Of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church(EPCG).
He is to serve for six good years in office as the clerk of the EPCG, he will work together with the Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt.Rev.Dr.Lt.Col BDK AGEBEKO and the Presbyter Executive,Pr.Charles Sitsofe sakyi.
The Rev.Dzanku took over from the Rev.Dr.Emmanuel Adjei Korbla Amey who Successfully ended his duty on the 31st Of December 2021.
The Rev.Dzanku heals from Akroful in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region. He was ordained as a Revend minister of the EPCG on the 3/6/2001 about two decades now. He have served in many districts of the EPCG as both District pastor and Associate Pastor respectively.
He was the synod Moderator Of the Ho West Presbytery and later the Central-Western Presbytery which he was currently before his Election to the high office as the clerk of the of The EPCG.
Rev.Dr.Dzanku is also a lecturer at the E P University College, he have been teaching there for some time. He is married and blessed with six(6) children which he is still counting...z
Rev.Dr.Dzanku was elected as the clerk of the EPCG during an a Extraordinary General Assembly held in August 2021 at the DeLa Cathedral,Ho-Kpodzi. He have since been working hand in hand with the immediate past Clerk of the General Assembly.
During the his induction,the Rt.Rev.Dr.Lt.Col. BDK Agbeko, who is the Moderator Of the General Assembly preach the sermon,he stated that the work is not as easy as he might think but with God on his side he believes strongly that the good Lord will see him through. He said that the work he is about to start is a ‘’COMMANDOO” work and therefore he must dedicate and avail himself for this work.
In attendance were Chiefs,Queen Mother’s and Elders from the Akroful Traditional Area. Also in attendance was a Representative of the Regional minister,the MP for Ho Central,Hon.Benjamin Kpodo,Hon.Kofi Attoh,a former MCE Of Ho and the DCE Of Ho.
Present were also some Synod Moderators of some Presbyteries,Pastors and their Spouses.
The induction right was done by the Former Moderator Of EPCG,the Very Rev.Ledo Together with the sitting moderator,the Rt.Rev.Dr.Lt.Col.BDK Agbeko.
In his acceptance speech he pledged to work very hard to put the image of the EPCG very high and also in the revival of the Church.
