Manchester United is back in action tonight after a long layoff. It's fair to argue that the team owes us a strong showing.

Last week's defeat to Wolves is still fresh in the mind, and forthcoming opponents Aston Villa, who have previously triumphed 1-0 at Old Trafford this season, will pose a similar challenge.

Ralf Rangnick has a lot of line-up decisions to make, starting with the formation he should use.

Rangnick would be surprised if he used the 4-2-2-2 again after Wolves exposed it last week. The interim manager may opt for a 4-3-3 shape, similar to what United used under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Rangnick, who will you choose?

There are a lot of factors that will influence United's lineup tonight. We tried our hand at forecasting Rangnick's Red Devils' lineup.

Dean Henderson should start in goal, as he usually does in cup games. Rangnick wants to keep Henderson, and giving him playing time is a big part of that.

Because Luke Shaw will be suspended for United's next game, it would be foolish to risk an injury to Alex Telles now. The England international is expected to remain at left-back.

Your Club Should REJECT ONE PLAYER

We should see a shift on the right, with Diogo Dalot's recent performances being superior to Aaron Wan- Bissaka's. The Portuguese ace should return to the lineup.

In center defense, Phil Jones will be relegated to the bench in favor of Victor Lindelof, who has regained his fitness. Harry Maguire is a tad behind schedule and likely start on the bench. United's strongest partnership could be Lindelof and Varane.

With Nemanja Matic sidelined, Fred and Bruno Fernandes will return to the midfield. With Scott McTominay in the mix, the playmaker might play a more withdrawn role as part of a more compact three.

Only one striker would start as a result of the formation change, with Edinson Cavani dropping out. Cristiano Ronaldo will take the field first.

Even though his form does not warrant it, Mason Greenwood will play on the right and Marcus Rashford on the left. Both Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga will be considered for the position.

Henderson, Lindelof, Dalot, Fred, Fernandes, and Rashford are included.

De Gea, Jones, Wan-Bissaka, Matic, Sancho, and Cavani are all out.
