Mikel Arteta appears set to continue trimming his squad this month, with two players reportedly set to leave – despite the fact that his top transfer target has turned down the club.
Arsenal is ramping up their January transfer window business, with two stars set to leave the club – though a deal for their top target appears to have fallen through.
According to reports, Dusan Vlahovic will not move to the Emirates Stadium this month and will instead take his time before deciding on a big-money transfer in the summer after being linked with a number of top clubs across Europe.
The Gunners are still looking to get rid of some deadwood in their squad, with defensive duo Pablo Mari and Sead Kolasinac set to leave this month.
It comes after Mikel Arteta's side were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round, losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest – and one first-team regular was seen shouting at a teammate during the game.
Ramsdale yells at Leno
During Arsenal's loss to Nottingham Forest, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was seen yelling at Bernd Leno.
Ramsdale was signed by the club last summer and was expected to compete with Leno this season.
However, following the Gunners' disappointing start to the season, Ramsdale was given his chance in the first team and has taken advantage of it, with his excellent form cementing his position as the club's new No.1 goalkeeper.
Leno made a rare start at the City Ground due to Ramsdale's absence, but the 23-year-old was seen shouting at his counterpart from the Arsenal bench during the game.
