1.   The UEW SRC extend its regards to the entire student populace.

 2.    The SRC is by this letter, welcoming all continuing and newly admitted students to the 2021/2022 academic year.

3.  Admission to the 2021/2022 academic year is ongoing. All applicants who have been admitted in their student portal but have not received their letters are to visit http://apforms.uew.edu.gh/application/auth to print their admission letters. For the avoidance of doubt, the site is updated periodically, so applicants whose letters are not on the site must wait for some time or visit the admissions office at Winneba, North Campus.

 4.  Students are been reminded that the payment of school fees is ongoing. However, students are advised to pay their school fees through the accredited banks of the University. That notwithstanding, our dear level 400 students who have already made payment of the school fees with their old index number should not panic, but those who are yet to make payment are advised to use their new index number.

5.  The UEW SRC also wishes to use this release to call on the government of Ghana to as a matter of urgency engage the UTAG to meet their demands and facilitate the withdrawal of the strike, as any delay may result in distorting the academic calendar and put students in economic hardships.

6.  That notwithstanding, community services rendered by lecturers have not been withdrawn and hence the Fresher's Orientation has been rescheduled to take place from Monday 17th January to Wednesday 19^th January, 2022.

7. Our attention has been drawn to the undue advantage some Winneba taxi drivers are using to swindle money from fresher's through outrageous means.

8.  The SRC therefore entreats the student body to board taxis with the UEW sticker to avoid falling victim to these scammers.

 9.  A flyer containing the fare prices would be out soon to serve as a guide.

10.  As part of putting UEW SRC on the globe, new social media handles have been created for the Council to hone our publicity, we are encouraging students to visit and follow the site for authentic updates.
