Kwame Gyan, the Deputy Director of the National Communications Authority's Consumer and Corporate Affairs Division, sat down with Akuoko Kwarteng on AmansanNtie – Kessben TV and answered all of Akuoko's questions about the ongoing sim card registration.
In response to a caller's question about minor differences between the name on a person's Ghana card and the name the telcos already have, Kwame Gyan explained that in such cases, you will allow the telcos to ask the registrants for some confidential details, and if the details match, the person can proceed with the registration by changing what's on the system.
He highlighted that the Ghana card can only be used to register for a maximum of ten sim cards per individual.
He further pointed out that the Ghana card is only required to register personal sim cards, whereas business and other firm sim cards require business certificates and other company paperwork.
