Tottenham vs. Chelsea in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals on Wednesday (kick-off 7.45pm): team news, stats, and how to watch

Tottenham will be without any injured players for the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

Spurs are missing Heung-Min Son (muscle), Steven Bergwijn, Eric Dier (both calf), and Cristian Romero (hamstring) for the game, which they trail 2-0 from the first leg.

It's unclear whether Tanguy Ndombele will play after being booed off the field by supporters at the weekend.

Tottenham provisional squad: Lloris, Gollini, Emerson, Sanchez, Tanganga, Doherty, Davies, Rodon, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Winks, Skipp, Alli, Moura, Gil, Lo Celso, Kane, Scarlett.

Chelsea could reintroduce Thiago Silva and N'Golo Kante following Covid-19 isolation. On Tuesday, Brazil defender Silva and France midfielder Kante were training to prove their fitness.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, and Marcos Alonso can all return after resting in the FA Cup win over Chesterfield, but Trevoh Chalobah is still out with hamstring trouble.

Chelsea provisional squad: Arrizabalaga, Bettinelli, Silva, Rudiger, Christensen, Sarr, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Niguez, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Pulisic, Havertz, Ziyech, Hudson-Odoi, Lukaku, Vale, Hall.

Antonio Conte says he has had fruitful discussions about players he wants to bring to Tottenham with chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici.

Conte has assessed the capabilities of his squad and says recruitment decisions will now be made by others at the club. Conte said ahead of Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports: "First and foremost, we discussed the situation.

It was a good meeting because the owner and (Fabio) Paratici started this season together." I arrived in the middle. They, without a doubt, have a better understanding of the situation than I do.

It was a good meeting to share my thoughts after spending two months in Tottenham.Tottenham are attempting to become only the second team, after Aston Villa in 1993-94, to reach the League Cup final despite losing the semi-final first leg by more than one goal.

Tottenham had previously lost the first leg of a League Cup semi-final tie for the fourth time; they were eliminated from the first two, but advanced against Chelsea in 2001-02 (1-2 first leg, 5-1 second leg). Since losing to Liverpool in the 2006-07 Champions League semi-final, Chelsea has advanced from each of their last 13 two-legged ties when winning the first leg.

The Blues have only been eliminated once when winning by more than one goal, against Barcelona in the 1999-00 Champions League quarter-finals (3-1 home, 1-5 away).Spurs have only lost one of their five League Cup home matches against Chelsea (W2 D2), a 3-0 loss in a quarter-final replay in January 1991.

Chelsea has already beaten Tottenham twice this season, including a 3-0 Premier League win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The last time they beat Spurs three times in a single season was in 2001-02 (4), and it was also the last time they won two away games against Spurs in the same season.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane scored six goals in his first 12 games against Chelsea in all competitions, but has failed to score in any of his last six meetings with the Blues. In total, the England captain had one shot and no touches in the opposition box in the first leg.

Kai Havertz of Chelsea has scored in all three of his EFL Cup appearances, totaling five goals. He could become the first Chelsea player since Mark Hughes against Arsenal in 1997-98 to score in both legs of a League Cup semi-final. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is looking to become only the eighth different manager to lead an English team to the finals of both major domestic competitions, as well as the European Cup/Champions League, after reaching the FA Cup and Champions League finals last season. Bob Paisley, Brian Clough, Alex Ferguson, Rafael Bentez, Arsène Wenger, Avram Grant, and Pep Guardiola were among the others.

Prediction: Tottenham 1 - 1 Chelsea
