Cristiano Ronaldo made a dream return to Manchester United in the summer after 12 years at Real Madrid and Juventus, but the striker is evaluating his future at Old Trafford, as the Daily Star exclusively revealed last week.
Cristiano Ronaldo is concerned that his dream homecoming to Manchester United could turn into a nightmare.
Ronaldo stunned the football world last summer when he returned to United from Juventus in a £12.9 million deal, making him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.
He had hoped to assist United in regaining title contention and returning to the top of English football.
United, on the other hand, were forced to fire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November and replace him with interim manager Ralf Rangnick, and now sit in seventh position in the table, 22 points behind league leaders Manchester City.

It hasn't been the 'homecoming' Ronaldo had hoped for, and the Portuguese legend confesses he didn't return to Old Trafford to join a team that was only filling in the gaps.
Ronaldo is evaluating his future at United while waiting to find out who will be the new permanent manager, as the Daily Star exclusively revealed earlier this month.
Ronaldo has refused to commit his future to United beyond this season, insisting that the club should be in contention for the title, or at the very least in the top three.
The 36-year-old, who is expected to be fit for this weekend's match against Aston Villa, said: "I'm not going to look into the future; instead, I'm going to focus on the present. The current moment has arrived. The time has come.

Cristiano Ronaldo believes United can win this season.
"Manchester United belongs in important things, so we must change," he says. I don't want to be here in a club fighting for sixth, seventh, or fifth place.
"Manchester United should finish first, second, or third in the Premier League. To be honest, I don't see any other options for Manchester United.
"In my heart, I don't believe our mentality can be anything less than being in the top three in the Premier League."
"I've come to compete and win." I believe we are competitive, but we are not yet at our peak. We still have a long way to go in terms of improvement."
