Due to the halt in football leagues caused by the pandemic, the federation of worldwide football associations will reward the greatest male, female, and juvenile footballers who were unbelievably excellent between the years 2020 and 2021 on Monday.

Unfortunately, not all good footballers make it to the last three, as the international football organization announces the finalist for the event, which comprises two previous winners and a newcomer who had a great season with his team.

The federation nominates players for the awards based on criteria such as the number of goals scored, total appearances, total assists, and opportunities created in total matches played in all competitions during the year. Let's take a look at the three finalists, their statistics, and how likely they are to win this prestigious FIFA award.

1.Lionel Andreas Messi: Plays club football for Paris Saint-Germain in the French league after joining for free from Spanish giants fc Barcelona last summer.

Despite an atrocious season with the Spanish giants, including a shambolic departure from the Uefa Champions League in the round of 16 loss to Paris Saint-Germaine and a third-place league finish, Lionel Messi remains the best player in the world.

Lionel Messi, on the other hand, won the pichichi trophy for top scorer and best player of the competition for the seasons 2020 and 2021, respectively. He also led his country to its first confederation title in 17 years, as well as the top scorer and best player awards.

These numbers put him ahead of any of his competitors to win the FIFA best male player award on Monday, just months after earning his eighth Ballon d'Or in a close contest.

2.For his consistent goal-scoring form for both club and nation in all competitions, Robert Lewandowski is known as the goal machine. Robert had a fantastic season in both 2020 and 2021. He is a clutch striker because he won the European Golden Boot in 2021 and finished the 2020 season with three trophies and as the top scorer in the Champions League.

During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, he won the Champions League trophy, the Club World Cup, the Super Cup, and the German Bundesliga DFB pokal. These numbers put him in second place among the finalists, giving him a strong opportunity to win the FIFA men's player award.

3.Mohamed Sallah led Liverpool to their first Premier League title in 30 years with a brilliant display, placing second in the top goal scorers table, narrowly losing out to Harry Kane by a goal. The award ceremony is scheduled for January 17th, 2022, at FIFA's headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Who do you think will win the best male, female, and young player awards tomorrow night? Please share this post with your friends and family and do not hesitate to leave your thoughts and opinions in the comment box below.
