According to sources in Spain, Liverpool are willing to let Roberto Firmino depart in the summer for €20 million (£16.5 million), with the forward having already been offered to Barcelona.

During his time in England, the Brazilian has established himself as part of one of the most recognisable attacking triumvirates in the world, alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

However, due to injuries and the addition of Diogo Jota, the 30-year-playing old's time has decreased this season, as he has only started five of Liverpool's 22 Premier League games.

According to El Nacional, Jurgen Klopp has decided that the moment has come to move the Brazilian forward, with Barcelona keeping a close eye on the situation. Klopp, according to the article, is open to selling Firmino, with Jota taking over as a vital part of his attack and Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi providing ample insurance.

Barcelona, according to the Catalan daily, are looking for a centre forward after Sergio Aguero retired early this season following his move from Manchester City.

In the absence of Salah and Mane, who are both in the Africa Cup of Nations, Firmino has been tasked with leading the Liverpool line. The Reds were held to a 0-0 draw by Arsenal in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final last week, despite the Gunners being down to ten men for the duration of the game.

On the other hand, in an easy 3-0 win over Brentford on Sunday, there was more luck in front of goal.

Firmino didn't score in the first two games, but he did play a part in the third, teeing up Minamino after capitalising on a defensive blunder.
