It is that time of year when Liverpool will be finalizing their kit designs for the following season, and a reliable source has leaked the next home kit for 2022/23.
The kit was initially leaked by Turkish design channel @esvaphane, with Footy Headlines describing it as the "first real picture" of the new shirt.
It has a very simple design, with a uniform red color accented by white logos such as the LFC badge, Nike swoosh, and Standard Chartered sponsor.
The shorts and socks will be red as usual, with few other details provided – though the leaked photo speaks for itself:
There is still a chance that the design will change – or that this was simply an early mockup or even a forgery – but the timing of this leak is convincing.
Liverpool are expected to wear their new home kit on the final day of the Premier League season, which is May 22 at home against Wolves.
That would give the club less than four months to approve designs, manufacturers to produce the shirts, and media work to be done for advertising.
Twitter has shared a mockup image of Sadio Mane wearing the rumored 2022/23 kit based on the leaked design.
The Hillsborough memorial emblem will be changed to honor Andrew Devine, the disaster's 97th fatality, in Liverpool's kits next season.
The number '97' will be embroidered on the back of the shirt's neck.
