Dr Isaac Dasmani, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Prestea-Huni Valley, has lamented how some of the victims of the catastrophic explosion in Abiate, a suburb of Bogoso in the Western Region, died as a result of their failure to listen the truck driver's warnings.
In an interview with Media General's Eric Yaw Adjei, he said that when his vehicle collided with a motorcycle, the driver yelled at residents to flee for their life.
"So, the driver got down and started asking people to run away, and other people were also trying to figure out what was going on," Dr. Dasmani explained.
“While the driver was shouting that people should run away, so I think it happened and in about 10 minutes time the whole thing exploded.â€
