According to reports, Ralf Rangnick is being frustrated in his attempts to reshape Manchester United's squad after requesting that three'mood killers' be sold this month.

The German coach has had a mixed start at Old Trafford, but he recovered from disappointing performances – and dropped points – against Wolves and Aston Villa to secure an important win away to Brentford in midweek.

However, there are still issues at the club, with a number of players rumored to be dissatisfied with their lack of playing time and eager to leave – despite the fact that United have yet to offload anyone in January.

Anthony Martial appears to be the most desperate to leave, and now SportBild reports that he is one of three players Rangnick is willing to sell.

The three United stars, along with Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani, are described as'mood killers,' and Rangnick is attempting to sell them this month.

Martial has not played a single minute under the former RB Leipzig manager and has publicly clashed with him over claims that he refused to play against Villa.

Similarly, Pogba has been injured throughout Rangnick's brief reign and is set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer, with talks over a contract extension having long since broken down.

Cavani is also nearing the end of his contract, and the trio – who wield a lot of power within the squad – are reportedly not on board with Rangnick's philosophy.
