Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira wept over the VAR punishment which squashed his side's desire for a late rebound against Liverpool on Sunday, marking it an "enormous misstep".
Castle had gone into half-time 2-0 down at Selhurst Park however mobilized after the crash and got one spirit through Odsonne Edouard.
The Eagles were the better side during the final part however any shot at a late adjuster vanished when ref Kevin Friend counseled the pitchside screen and granted a spot-kick for a foul on Diogo Jota by goalkeeper Vicente Guiata.
Fabinho changed over from 12 yards to get a 3-1 win yet Palace was left enraged, with Jota obviously having failed to keep a grip on the ball before a harmless crash with Guiata, which the Portuguese somewhat initiated."It is an enormous misstep by the ref and that removed the desire to return," Vieira said afterward."Of course, it had a gigantic effect. The refs today didn't have a great game by any means.
"A portion of these choices had a gigantic effect. It happens time and again at home, particularly when we play these huge groups."
