1. When the whole team participates, the whole team wins.
This was a strong team performance, as it should be from the reigning European Champions. Recently, however, fingers have been pointed at individuals on the field and even the manager. Individuals can only do so much to win every game if everyone does their part both on and off the field. Chelsea appeared to require a different formation and tactics to break out of this slump, and Tuchel delivered on Sunday. This allowed some players to use their unique qualities, while others adapted to help the team, but in the end, everyone pulled their weight to ensure a good win over Antonio Conte's Tottenham Hotspur.
Although Hakim Ziyech was the show's star, he was not the sole reason for the victory. Chelsea attacked and defended as a unit for the entire 90 minutes. Add to that a strong work ethic and The Blues had the perfect formula for success thanks to the squad's versatility. No fingers were pointed, not because the team won, but because everyone performed flawlessly in their assigned roles. Even Romelu Lukaku, who has recently come under fire for poor performances and immature comments, had a good game because everyone around him did well.
Finally, when the entire team performs well, the entire team wins.
