On Sunday, the Blues won another crucial three points against Tottenham, closing the gap on league leaders Manchester City.
Chelsea closed the gap on league leaders Manchester City to ten points on Sunday, reminding Pep Guardiola's side that they are only ten points behind them.
Both Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva scored in the second half for the Blues, giving them all three points.
Thomas Tuchel's men defeated London rivals Tottenham for the third time this month, winning twice in the Carabao Cup semi-finals and once in the Premier League.
Manchester City's 1-1 draw with Southampton may have provided Chelsea and Liverpool with a sliver of a chance, as they won all three points against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Tuchel's team will now be preparing to close the gap in any way they can, with Jurgen Klopp aiming to do the same for his team.
All they can do is continue to win and hope that the Citizens drop points along the way.
Having said that, here's a look at the Blues' next six games in comparison to Liverpool and Manchester City.
Chelsea's next six fixtures
Crystal Palace (A) - February 19
Chelsea travel across London to face Crystal Palace, who are currently out of form under Patrick Viera.
The former Arsenal captain has transformed the Eagles into a competitive mid-table side, defeating Manchester City earlier this season.
Burnley (A) - 5th March
Sean Dyche's men are currently bottom of the table, but they are still fighting to avoid relegation.
The Clarets managed to steal a point from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and could be a difficult opponent to break down.
12 March, Newcastle (H)
Newcastle are another relegation candidate, though there is no guarantee of what kind of team they will be when they face Chelsea.
The Magpies have shown that they can spend this transfer window and could be a much improved side when they visit London in March, following their takeover.
Norwich (A) - 19 March
The Blues will face another relegation candidate in Norwich, though the Canaries have found some form recently. Dean Smith has led his team to back-to-back victories, lifting them out of the relegation zone.
Brentford (H) - 2nd April
Brentford have competed well in their return to the top flight, but have recently struggled for form. Thomas Frank's men have only won one of their last five games.
9 April, Southampton (A)
The Blues travel to Southampton, who have settled into a mid-table position. Ralph Hasenhuttl's team caused problems with their pressing style, and they did so against Man City, who they took a point from not long ago.
