Real Madrid has begun to make preparations for the upcoming summer transfer season, which is expected to be quite busy. Real's attacking targets, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, have been the club's main targets for quite some time. After the round of 16 Champions League clash against Paris-Saint-Germain, they may pick up their pursuit of Mbappe, and they may speak with Haaland's entourage later this season.
Los Blancos have also been concentrating on upgrading their midfield and defense, and it appears that they have already identified their top priority midfield target. According to a recent MARCA report, the club has identified four young midfielders as potential transfer targets.
However, the newest MARCA report appears to corroborate that Aurelien Tchouameni is Real Madrid's top midfield target. They've intensified their hunt for Tchouameni.
According to the source, Juni Calafat, Real Madrid's chief scout, came to Monaco to meet with Tchouameni's entourage and discuss a possible summer deal. The club sees the Frenchman as a long-term replacement for Casemiro, who is now the team's defensive midfielder.
Aurelien Tchouameni has been a target for Real Madrid for some time.
With his strong tackling skills, the Monaco midfielder is an expert ball-winner and prefers to break down promising advances. Tchouameni has completed 187 tackles and 117 interceptions since the start of the 2020/21 season, more than any other midfielder in Europe, according to Squawka. This statistic speaks much about his ball-winning abilities and demonstrates that a player like him can be a terrific Casemiro successor. He's at ease with the ball in his hands and can consistently deliver line-breaking passes, making him a versatile midfielder.

When compared to Camavinga's signing, the price tag may be a little too much, with the teenager being a more heralded midfielder in Ligue 1. Monaco, on the other hand, is a business-minded club, and given the Premier League's competition for Tchouameni, they may believe they have every right to get the most out of his transfer. When Real Madrid decides to sign a player, they aren't concerned about the price tag.
