According to Diario Sport, Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed on Adama Traore's future.

Adama will return to the club where he began his career on loan until the end of the season, with his salary adjusted to allow him to be registered immediately.

There has been no official confirmation from either club, but the Spanish international will have a medical tomorrow and be presented at the start of next week.

The agreement includes a purchase option that, if exercised, will sign Adama to a four-year contract with Camp Nou.

Adama moved to the Premier League from Barcelona in the summer of 2015. He began his career with Aston Villa before moving to Middlesborough a year later.

Two seasons later, he moved to Wolves, where he has remained ever since. He was a quick and commanding winger for Luis Enrique's Spanish national team at Euro 2020.

Barcelona will hold a medical for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore tomorrow, The Athletic understands.

Traore's proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur appears to be dead in the water.

The Catalan club is negotiating a loan agreement with a purchase option for the 26-year-old for around €35 million.

Traore previously played for Barcelona before joining Aston Villa in 2015, followed by a loan spell at Middlesbrough.

Tottenham's pursuit of Traore appears to be over. Club-to-club talks had been progressing well, but The Athletic understands that the Spain international was unsure about playing right wing-back.

Earlier in the transfer window, Antonio Conte's side had a £15 million bid turned down.

The club is still looking for other players before the season ends, with The Athletic revealing on Wednesday that they are in talks with Fiorentina about signing midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

The 25-year-old is set to leave Fiorentina this month after falling down the pecking order under head coach Vincenzo Italiano.
