According to The Telegraph, Chelsea coach Joe Edwards is expected to join Frank Lampard at Everton ahead of his upcoming appointment as the club's new manager, while Anthony Barry is expected to stay.

According to the report, the Blues legend has agreed to become Everton's new manager on Sunday and is currently compiling a list of potential employees who could join him at Goodison Park.

Edwards, who was previously the head coach of Chelsea's development squad before being promoted to the first team in July 2019, remained at Chelsea after Lampard's dismissal and continues to work under Tuchel.

According to The Telegraph, Edwards could become Everton's assistant manager.

However, he is not the only Chelsea coach Lampard is rumored to be interested in.

Barry, who is known as Chelsea's set-piece specialist, was approached by Lampard but chose to stay at Stamford Bridge, according to the report.

Lampard, on the other hand, is expected to offer former Chelsea assistant manager Paul Clement a position on his backroom staff.

Chris Jones, who previously worked with Lampard at Derby County and Chelsea, is also expected to join the former England international's coaching staff.

Many Blues fans will be relieved to hear that Barry has decided to stay.

Tuchel has praised Barry for his 'brilliant' work at Chelsea.

According to a report from The Athletic last year, Tuchel held high regard for Barry and even played a role in persuading the former Wigan Athletic coach to stay after Lampard's departure.

When asked about Chelsea's strong set-piece record this season, Tuchel made it clear how important Barry's contributions are to the team.

"Yes, we are very strong in set-pieces because Anthony Barry, our assistant, the team he uses, and our analysts are doing a fantastic job," the German said in November to Chelsea TV.

"It's as simple as that."

They present and train set pieces at the highest level I've ever seen – it's entertaining to watch, and we appreciate it."

Opta (via Whoscored) claims the Blues have scored 10 goals from set-pieces in the Premier League this season (the second-highest) and conceded just three.
