Since Ralf Rangnick took over for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, MAN UTD's performances have improved.

In what could be a sly jab at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has said that interim head coach Ralf Rangnick's playing style has made the players' life simpler. Rangnick has helped the Red Devils since taking over from Solskjaer in November.

Solskjaer was fired after a poor run of play that includes losses to rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

A 4-1 hammering at relegation-threatened Watford added insult to injury.

Rangnick, a former RB Leipzig coach, was quickly appointed on a temporary basis until the end of the season. The Germans had a difficult time.

Rangnick has won five of his eight Premier League games for United. He has also led them to the FA Cup fourth round, where they will meet Middlesbrough on Friday night.

The 63-year-old has enhanced the defense of the club. In the last two months, they have only conceded six Premier League goals.

as well as a centre-back The new style of play, which includes more energetic pressing in midfield and up front, according to Maguire, is assisting the defenders in keeping clean sheets.

"I believe he has brought a lot of different principles into the club." But, without a doubt, we haven't conceded as many goals or as many chances," Maguire said in the club's matchday programme.

"It's a group effort." It is neither a back-four nor a goalkeeping attempt. It's a collaborative effort. The way they (the midfielders and forwards) operate and cover areas in front of us makes our life a little simpler, but it's still a significant effort from all of us.

"However, I believe there is still a lot of room for improvement, particularly with the ball today."

"We need to carry a little bit more of a threat with the ball and look after it a little bit better than we have in recent weeks," he said.

Rangnick's tenure began with some shaky performances in 1-0 victories over Crystal Palace and Brentford.

However, their performance has improved since then, and Maguire believes there is a link between that and their results. The Red Devils have regained their place in the Premier League's top four.

"Since the manager came in, the results have been pretty excellent," the England defender added.

"We've had some mixed results, but we've kept together and managed to get some positive things out of the period." However, it has now set us up.

"We're in a critical part of the season where we need to keep putting on great performances week after week."

"I often say it, and I'm a firm believer in it: good performances equal good results."

"So we have to make sure we put in those solid efforts, and the results will follow."
