Member of Parliament for the Suame constituency, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and leader of government's business and majority leader of Ghana's Parliament, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has revealed he will bow out of Parliament in 2024.

Speaking to Joy News' Winston Amoah on Upfront, the leader who has contested and won over five(5) parliamentary elections in the Suame constituency indicated that he is moving away from Parliamentary duties to have enough time with his family.

Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said the many parliamentary duties even when the house has adjourned has kept him from his family for a long time.

"As a result of the pool of knowledge and experience that I have gotten from my long stay in the house, I serve on most of the committees in the Commonwealth, African and Ecowas Parliament, I have duties at Cabinet, I owe my constituents an obligation, my party and even my colleague MPs come to me everyday for a whole range of issues.

When we are on Parliamentary break, I spend close to six(6) hours everyday in my office attending to issues of interest to the house", he said.

The Suame MP says he's bowing out of the house to spend time with his family and friends.
