The Glazers, who own Manchester United, were in the spotlight during the club's defeat to Middlesbrough on Friday.
An announcement was made inside Old Trafford during Manchester United's match against Middlesbrough. Because no food or drinks were available for purchase, supporters naturally demanded that the Glazers leave. With the club lurching from one issue to the next, the loss to Chris Wilder's team on Friday night provides yet another reason for the Americans to leave.
In the contemporary period, Manchester United has never been worse.
They struggled for many years, even being relegated at one time, but Sir Alex Ferguson resurrected a sleeping giant and dominated English football for over two decades.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, have been in disarray since the Scot left in 2013.
They were bad under David Moyes, but there was a sense that the Scot wasn't to blame for everything. A significant amount of money was required.
Louis van Gaal had support and won the FA Cup, but his style of play was abysmal. If we're being brutally honest, it's boring.
Jose Mourinho won two trophies in the EFL Cup and Europa League, but drained the optimism of his players like a Dementor from Harry Potter before being fired in December 2018.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer boosted morale, but that was it. Prior to his dismissal in November, there was no trophy, simply a Europa League final.
Now, under Ralf Rangnick, United is flaunting their stuff.
Despite their depth of skill, United seem to drift from one issue to the next.
Rangnick has won six of his first eleven games as the head coach. In that time, they've lost twice, one to Wolves in the league and then to Middlesbrough on Friday.
Of course, the Glazers share some of the guilt. Even while it's worth noting that they've spent a lot of money along the way, the Americans have let a behemoth to sleep for far too long.

They clearly have another motivation to sell the club, since they were booed on Friday.
Their product has been harmed. United has suffered a setback. No longer united.
The Glazers have profited handsomely from the Red Devils, bolstering their financial position behind the scenes.
United, on the other hand, is in such bad shape that profits are starting to dry up. Especially if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League for the second consecutive season.
It is already underway. Last season, Manchester City overtook Manchester United in income for the first time.

While this may not seem significant in and of itself, it is a scathing indictment. Surprisingly, being a successful football club earns more money than being a losing one.
Things are only going to become worse given the present campaign.
City will almost certainly win the Premier League title under Pep Guardiola again, barring a late collapse.
They have a chance to win the Champions League because, let's face it, they are capable. There isn't a single flaw in that well built crew.
United, on the other hand, is fighting for a place in the top four.

They are still in position to win the Champions League, but it would take a miracle. Stranger things have, nevertheless, occurred.
With the club's fortunes deteriorating, the Glazers have never had a stronger excuse to go.
The number of people calling for them to resign will only grow as the outcomes continue to deteriorate. There's no indication that United will go on a winning streak anytime soon.
It'll be fascinating to watch how the Glazers respond now that their product has been tampered with.
They've stated that they're in it for the long haul, but when the money runs out, second thoughts are understandable.
