When it came to selecting his Premier League five-a-side team, Harry Kane went for a 'all out attack.'
When asked by Amazon Prime Video Sport to construct a five-man side consisting solely of Premier League talents, the Tottenham star and England captain selflessly refused.
In an attack-minded set up, Kane, 28, chose two Spurs teammates but also two Chelsea players, despite his club's bitter rivalry with their London rivals. 'So, I'm the manager,' he explained. Hugo [Lloris] in goal, Sonny [Son Heung-min] up top, and Mo Salah up top are my choices. In midfield, I'm going with [N'Golo] Kante.' I suppose I should throw in a defender as well, don't I? As a defender, I'll go with Reece James.' He's been outstanding this season, and he can also attack effectively. So I'm launching a full-fledged assault.'
Kane has been strangely quiet this season, netting just five goals in 19 Premier League games, and Antonio Conte will be keen for his striker to get back on track if Chelsea are to finish in the top four. Kane wanted to leave England for Manchester City in the summer of 2021, but Daniel Levy refused to allow it, and Kane hasn't been able to reclaim his goalscoring touch since.
With two games in hand, the north Londoners are in in seventh place, two points behind Manchester United in fourth.
