Member of Parliament for Suame constituency, Minister of Government Business and Parliamentary Affairs and Majority leader, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has named the person behind the e-levy cake that has generated a lot of confusion.
Speaking on Okay FM, the MP who celebrated his 65th birthday last week said the videos of the party is available for everyone to see who gifted him the e-levy cake.
According to him, it will be difficult for him to mention the name of the individual who presented the cake to him because he is a businessman and it will affect his business. He added the individual had no bad intentions and meant no malice.
"My wife baked a cake for me and that was the cake the vice President and wife joined us in cutting. The announcer then told me when we were about the cake that people had brought in cake so I asked that they brought it so we cut them. They were two small cakes and later the e-levy cake was brought.
He is a businessman and he said for sometime now, it is e-levy I have been fighting and thinking about so he decided to bake an e-levy cake. Everybody knows it was just a gift from a businessman I will not mention his name".
The minority were accused by some media houses and personalities behind the e-levy cake. Sam George and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa denied knowledge of it and dared the MP to reveal the minority MPs behind the cake.
