Liverpool held a training session in Kirkby on Friday afternoon, with the players who did not start against Leicester taking part. There are a plethora of options in this category.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and forward Sadio Mané were among the players in Kirkby on Friday afternoon, as Jürgen Klopp's team was put through their paces ahead of their match against Burnley on Sunday.
Henderson missed the win over Leicester City due to a minor injury, but Klopp said earlier in the day that he would be fine to play at Turf Moor.
Meanwhile, Mané has been celebrating with his Senegal teammates after the team won the AFCON title a few days ago, with the 29-year-old scoring the game-winning penalty.
Joe Gomez and Divock Origi were also in training — they only missed out on a spot on the bench for the Leicester game because Liverpool has so many options right now.
They may miss out again on Sunday, with even more competition for places due to the return of Henderson and Mané, but they will hope to be involved in the Champions League midweek (where larger numbers of substitutes are allowed to be named).
With two more players added to the mix on top of the already stacked squad from which Klopp had to choose, the dilemmas multiply even more for him ahead of a crucial period.
He admitted that he has a few headaches to solve in order to get all of his stars enough minutes, with Gomez being the obvious one who has missed out the most this season, but it is the best type of headache to have.
The only players photographed in the session were those who did not play from the start on Thursday night, so Diogo Jota and Luis Daz were elsewhere, away from the cameras.
