Thomas Tuchel is concerned about some new injuries ahead of Chelsea's return to Premier League action.
Chelsea finally won the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday, after failing to do so in 2012. However, it was not all good news for Thomas Tuchel.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz were enough for Manchester United to defeat Palmeiras 2-1 in the United Arab Emirates, though they did need extra time to do so.
The Blues will return to Premier League action against Crystal Palace next Saturday, and Tuchel will be hoping that they can maintain their current form.
He will, however, have to deal with some new injury concerns as well as football.
Mason Mount Mount suffered a minor injury before the Club World Cup against Plymouth Argyle, but he recovered in time for the main event and started the final on Saturday.
However, he did not last long, and he was replaced by Christian Pulisic before halftime, with Tuchel confirming that he had badly injured his ankle.
"He was hurt. He had a run at the back in one of the first actions with Azpilicueta. They collided, and his opponent landed on his ankle, causing severe ligament damage. So we'll have to wait and see. "It's an injury," the manager explained at the post-match press conference.
"He came to me and said he didn't feel well, that he was stiff and in pain. He wasn't sure if he could go on, so we made the call."

Reece James James traveled to the UAE with his Chelsea teammates, but Zsolt Low confirmed the defender would not participate in the tournament as he recovers from an injury.
"Reece James, there's no way he'll play in the cup," it's been said. He's in a good place, but he'll miss still some days, some training sessions. He's here to enjoy the group again."
On Thursday afternoon, the defender also discussed his fitness (February 10).
After the west Londoners defeated Al Hilal in the semi-finals on Wednesday, James returned to training to regain full fitness.
Taking to Instagram, the right-back posted a photo of himself after another strenuous workout with the caption: "Another meeting. We're one step closer."

Loftus-Cheek, Ruben
The midfielder was left out of Chelsea's squad for the tournament after picking up a knock ahead of the FA Cup match against Plymouth.
It was also deemed serious enough to keep him out of the Club World Cup, so he hopes to return to the Premier League.
Date of expected return: Crystal Palace (A) - Tuesday, February 19
Chilwell, Ben
Chilwell's return is expected to be much later than the rest of his teammates.
He has been ruled out until at least the end of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury and undergoing reconstructive surgery against Juventus.
Expected return date: 2022/23 season
