Concerned members of the ruling NPP in the Ashanti Region's Kwadaso Constituency have raised concerns about an alleged plan by certain executives to create a new party album without going through the proper channels.
Their worries come ahead of the party's polling station elections, which are set to take place later this month.
The disgruntled members urge the party's leadership to step in and help them.
"We have information that certain executive members of the party in the constituency are compiling an album in clear violation of the party's General Secretary, John Boadu's, regulations and guidelines."
Certain party coordinators in the constituency are summoning some unknown NPP members to bring passport-size pictures and ID card information to be included in a rumored album.
Tanoso's polling station secretary, Akwasi Oteng Domfeh, tells Joynews' Mahmud Mohammed-Nurudeen that the organization is requesting the council of elders to intervene and follow proper procedure in order to avert pandemonium.
Some disgruntled party members in the constituency expressed similar worries prior to the 2020 elections.
If you think back four years, the same thing happened, and Kwadaso became the talk of the town. In several instances, the constituency was taken to court, which influenced the timing of our parliamentary primaries. " According to the petition,
"We don't want a rerun of the same; we want due process to be followed," added another member, Samuel Amofa.
