The carnage on our roads is becoming more and more terrible on a daily basis as a result of driver and pedestrian carelessness, as well as the inadequate condition of motorable road networks.
Two young police officers from the Peki police command in the Volta region were killed in the line of duty, according to a heartbreaking piece of news that has reached the Ghanaian people.
Constable Dadzie and Corporal Quansah, both of the Peki Police Station, were on their way to the Police checkpoint at Opokuase, near Asikuma junction, when a Ford Transit bus swerved into the other lane and collided with their APSONIC motorcycle, instantly killing both.
The two [2] Galant police officers, as well as four [4] other passengers on the bus, died at the scene, while other passengers were injured to varied degrees and taken to the hospital.
May their precious souls rest in peace for all time, and may their fallen companions rest in peace.
