In the Ashanti Region, three people were killed in an accident on the Obuasi-Anwiankwanta route.When a tyre of a Toyota minibus going from Kumasi to Takoradi ruptured, the event occurred.On Saturday, February 12, 2022, the car went into a ditch at Akrokere Junction on the route.The victims, two ladies and a guy, died instantly.
The Toyota Hiace bus, with registration number AK 276–22, had 15 people on board, according to the Obuasi Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD).
The MTTD Divisional Commander, George Owusu Aboagye, told Adom News that the deceased and injured had been sent to the Obuasi Government Hospital."Those who are still alive are responding to hospital care," he said.He also told Issac Normanyo, a journalist, that the driver is still on the loose.
