Private legal practicioner, Martin Kpebu has descended heavily on investigate the fourth estate journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni for his comments about the fixthecountry movement and it's convenor, Oliver Baker Womavor.
Speaking on Joy News' PM Express, Manasseh Azure Awuni described the Facebook post by the fixthecountry convenor, Oliver Baker Womavor as unfortunate and appalling. He again added the comment will make it difficult for him to support the fixthecountry agenda spearheaded by Oliver.
In a sharp response to Manasseh's comments, Lawyer Martin Kpebu indicated that it was preposterous for the investigative journalist to draw conclusions over a matter that is still liquid in a court of competent jurisdiction. He emphasized the need for the activist to have his day in court by allowing the rule of law to take it's course.
Lawyer Kpebu decried the need for the Police to respect the laws of the land.
Fixthecountry activist, Oliver Baker Womavor was arrested last Friday for a post on Facebook which according to the Police charge was inciting an insurrection against the Akufo-Addo led government. He had been with treason felony and has been remanded into Police custody till 28th February, 2022.
