Media personality and fixthecountry activist, Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa has revealed what happened at the Ashaiman Police Station after the arrest of lead convenor Oliver Baker Womavor of Fixthecountry movement.
Speaking on Joy News'PM Express, the loudmouth traditional ruler didn't mince words at criticising his colleague convenor Oliver Baker Womavor for his coup post.
He indicated the commander at the Ashaiman Police Station lied to himself, Ernerst Dogbey MP for Ashaiman that Oliver was not in his custody but has been sent to Tema.
Okatakyie Afrifa revealed that the initial charge pressed against Oliver Baker Womavor was changed after a call from above came through to the Commander. He added the Ashaiman MP was ready to sign the bail conditions for the release of the activist until a call from above came. He was initially charged with misdemeanor.
Mr. Oliver Baker Womavor was arrested last Friday at the Kotoka International Airport for a post he made on Facebook about leading a coup should the e-levy be passed.
He was sent to court and charged with treason felony and was denied bail and is to reappear on the 28th February, 2022. However, lead counsel for the fixthecountry convenor, Lawyer Akoto Ampaw has said the charge is not sustainable.
