With his digitalization campaign, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has returned to the educational sector, making a strong argument for the democratization of teaching and learning at all levels of the country through the use of e-learning.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the move will not only improve accessibility but also bring about equity for all, regardless of a learner's physical location at any given time.

He made the remarks at the introduction of the integrated online learning program, a platform aimed at empowering and educating young people for the 21st-century labor market.

The platform will provide a comprehensive choice of courses to enhance skills and knowledge through partnerships with local firms, organizations, industries, and universities.

According to the Vice President, the integrated learning platform provides an appropriate manner of training, particularly for learners in remote settings.

"E-learning is being heralded as a critical force in the democratization of education. It is the essential to ensuring that all students have access to a quality education. It's a way of bringing education to people who would otherwise be denied it due to geography, social rank, or physical limitations. Dr. Bawumia stated that "e-learning is an ideal platform for instructing pupils in remote places, as it incorporates all sorts of learning and skill development."

He described some of the online learning platform's indirect benefits, such as the belief that it will save time and money because students will not have to go to learning centers. The printing of papers will be reduced once more.

"Online learning that is integrated saves time and money." "Online learning allows students to access content from anywhere and at any time," he explained.

The integrated learning platform, according to the Vice President, is linked to the government's free Senior High School policy, which has long-term positive implications for the economy.

Dr. Bawumia used the occasion to call on leaders from all walks of life to join the Leyden Educational Foundation in making the integrated learning platform a success.
