A CHANGE IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RULES PROVIDES LIVERPOOL WITH A NEW CHALLENGE AT INTER MILAN

Jurgen Klopp pleased with Sadio Mane's form on Premier League return Liverpool face Inter in the Champions League on Wednesday, and I'm not sure how the loss of the away goal rule this season will affect the team.

There will be many teams going to extra time in the second leg. Normally, we would say that you must score an away goal, but that is no longer the case; you must simply achieve a satisfactory result.

If you're defeated 1-0 at home, it's not always a bad result, but it's no longer the case thanks to the elimination of the away goal rule. Teams no longer need to be as cautious at home.

We're capable of achieving success there. The San Siro is a fantastic stadium - iconic - and they are a massive club.

I remember when they beat us in the 1960s and the referee robbed us. Hopefully, there will be some retaliation.

But they're a big club with a great team. The Italian league is no longer what it once was, but there is always the possibility of a resurgence.

I believe it will help that we have already defeated AC Milan there this season. That makes a small psychological difference. It makes the players feel a little more at ease in their surroundings.

They'll still have to play well, and they'll have to play better than they did on Sunday.

Particularly the forwards. If they get a chance on Wednesday, it has to be in the net.

Edin Deko has seen a lot of the world. He's not the world-class player that some believe he is, because if he were, the teams he's been with would have kept him. But he's a threat both inside and outside the box.
