PSG star Lionel Messi is said to be opposed to Zinedine Zidane taking over as coach of the French club. Because the former Real Madrid coach could be interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

PSG's management position is a hot topic of discussion, with speculations linking current manager Mauricio Pochettino to a departure from the Parc des Princes. He is rumoured to be on his way to Manchester United.

With his departure, the Paris side will be in desperate need of a new manager. Nasser Al-Khelafi, the president of Paris, has set his sights on Zidane. According to El Nacional, Messi is opposed to Zidane being named as Pochettino's replacement. This is owing to the Frenchman's apparent eagerness to capture Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, a former Real Madrid player who is now having a dismal second spell at Manchester United.

The wheels are in action for a transfer and managerial merry-go-round between Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain, but Messi appears to be unwilling to play with his long-time adversary.

Kylian Mbappe, a France forward who has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid, is poised to leave PSG at the conclusion of the season. PSG may want Ronaldo as a replacement for the Frenchman, with the club eager to compensate for the loss of a key figure both on and off the field. According to the rumours, Ronaldo has asked his agent Jorge Mendes to locate him a new home. PSG is a good fit for a player towards the end of his career.
