Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is settling into life at the Nou Camp, scoring his first Barcelona goals against Valencia on Sunday afternoon en route to a 4-1 victory at the Mestalla.
Mikel Arteta's claims that Pierre-Emerick Auabmeyang didn't work hard enough in training have been refuted by Pierre-Emerick Auabmeyang, who scored a hat-trick for Barcelona.
The Gabonese international is settling in at the Nou Camp, scoring his first goals for the club against Valencia on Sunday afternoon en route to a 4-1 victory at the Mestalla.
Aubameyang opened the scoring for the visitors before following up Frenkie De Jong's strike to put Barcelona in cruise control at the break.
The hosts got one back through Carlos Soler, but Aubameyang restored Barcelona's three-goal lead with his hat-trick, which was originally awarded to Pedri.
Aubameyang will be relieved to have put the painful end to his time at Arsenal behind him, following a public spat with Arteta that led to his departure.
"If someone crosses it because they scored 25 or 30 goals, the dressing room must accept it. First and foremost, you must score 25 or 30 goals." Maybe they said, 'Listen, guys, you train.'
You play once a week.' They will make the decision. There is no problem if they are satisfied with that and with me "Everyone is happy if they are happy and can live with it. But you have to do it, don't you?"
When asked if the squad would accept a lack of effort from a star player, Arteta responded, 'I don't work with impressions, I work with facts.' 'I like to see, smell, and sense where this is going, and if possible, anticipate problems.'
Aubameyang stated that he left the club due to a disagreement with Arteta, but the striker has not elaborated on the situation.
However, if he continues to talk on the field, Arsenal's decision to let him go may come back to haunt them.
With Aubameyang gone, the club's only two recognised no.9s are Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, both of whom are out of contract in the summer, and the club may not have enough firepower to finish in the top four.
