Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided injury updates ahead of the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 match against Lille on Tuesday.
Following their 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Blues must now turn their attention back to cup competitions.
They will play Lille at Stamford Bridge in the middle of the week before facing Liverpool in the League Cup final at the weekend.
Chelsea were missing several players at Selhurst Park, including Cesar Azpilicueta and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Tuchel confirmed that the pair were unable to play due to last-minute injuries.
"Of course, we will push for Azpi, and we will push for Mason [Mount]," Tuchel said on Chelsea TV when asked about a possible injury return for the Champions League match.
"However, it may be a little early for Mason."
"I don't think [he] is going to make it." But we'll give it a shot and see what happens."
Mount suffered an ankle injury during the Club World Cup final, injuring his ligaments severely, according to Tuchel.
Given the circumstances, Tuchel may decide not to take any chances and instead allow the midfielder to fully recover before facing Liverpool at the weekend.
