If a by-election is held, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) may lose the Dome-Kwabenya seat.
According to Global Info Analytics' study, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is projected to win with 44 percent of the vote.
According to the research, the NPP will receive 43 percent of the votes cast if a different candidate is chosen.
This follows the absence of Sarah Adwoa Safo, the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya.
Because of her alleged failure to attend Parliamentary sessions to support government business, the party is considering replacing her as a candidate.
Members of the NPP in the constituency are also supporting Mike Ocquaye Jnr, a candidate for the seat in the 2024 elections.
But, speaking on Adom FM's morning show, Dwaso Nsem, on Tuesday, Mussa Dankwa, Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, argued that a replacement would be disastrous.
He said that their analysis revealed a divide over calls to remove Madam Safo from Parliament.
"While 47 percent of Dome-Kwabenya inhabitants oppose the recall of Sarah Adwoa Safo, 44 percent favor such a request," according to the study.
To avoid losing the seat in the future, Mussa Dankwa encouraged the NPP to handle the situation with tact and political maturity.
