Ningo Prampram is a character in the film Ningo Prampram. Sam George, a Member of Parliament (MP), has joined efforts to declare Sarah Adwoa Safo's seat in Dome-Kwabenya vacant.
Mr. George believes that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should make a motion to have Speaker Alban Bagbin proclaim the Dome-Kwabenya seat vacant.
After President Akufo-Addo extended her leave in October 2021, the MP has been away from Parliament for some time.
Following charges of her impersonation during Parliamentary proceedings on November 30, 2021, she became the topic of public discourse again a few months ago.
Following that, Michael Kofi Okyere Baafi, a Deputy Trade and Industry Minister, accused his colleague of impeding government work, while Ben Ephson, editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, also requested the party to fire Madam Safo.
Mr. Ephson stated that the MP's continued absence from Parliament posed a significant danger to the party's chances.
He stated that the legislator's behavior should not be tolerated and that, if it continues, she should be replaced.
On the other hand, Mr. George has led Ghanaians down memory lane of a similar occurrence that occurred between 2019 and 2020, according to his Twitter profile.
He said that Kyei Baffour, the then Lower West Akim NPP MP, had been gone for over a year and that no such calls had been made.
