There is a resulting war of words among the ruling NPP's ranks. Though the administration is putting on a brave face, things are not as they seem as brewing groups trade blows. In a recent interview, Kennedy Agyapong chastised Adwoa Safo for abandoning her responsibilities as a Member of Parliament and Minister to relax on social media. He demanded that the seat of Dome Kwabenya be declared vacant.
Yaw Buaben Asamoa, in turn, has chastised the Assin Central MP for leaking party secrets to the media. He demanded that Kennedy Agyapong be disciplined by the party for his inane remarks. In an interview on Asaase Radio this morning, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Yaw issued a warning to Kennedy Agyapong. An otherwise pleasant interview became enraged when Kennedy learned about Yaw Buaben's earlier comments, demanding that he be reprimanded.
Kennedy chastised Yaw Buaben for being weak and questioned why the NPP employs him as a spokesperson. According to Kennedy, nothing positive will come out of the party as long as Yaw is a communicator. Because of Yaw Buaben, Kennedy threatened to run against all present NPP executives (including John Boadu, who introduced Yaw to the party). He stated that this would serve as a warning for the insults he has hurled at him.
Kennedy Agyapong also stated that because Yaw is unfit to be a communicator, he will consider creating his own political party. "You came to me for T-shirts, and now you're attacking me?" I'll take care of him. Buaben is a jerk, to say the least. I'm going to give you a lesson. Kennedy was enraged.
