On Sunday, the Carabao Cup finals for the 2021–2022 season will pit Chelsea and Liverpool against one another at Wembley Stadium. Of course, the match is likely to be challenging and exciting, as both the Blues and the Reds have a multitude of skilled and brilliant players. Nonetheless, due to unforeseen circumstances, three Chelsea players are most likely to miss the Carabao Cup finals on Sunday. Without being snarky, Thomas Tuchel's side can still frustrate Liverpool even without the three players listed below. Of course, the Blues are still unblemished in February in all competitions.
1.Ziyech Hakim
The Moroccan genius is unlikely to play Liverpool at Wembley Stadium after limping off against Lille in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 last night. To be honest, Thomas Tuchel hasn't given any updates on him, but he's unlikely to play after last night's performance. Chelsea will reportedly be without Hakim Ziyech on Sunday as he is now the top Chelsea forward, having contributed five goals in four games for the Blues in 2022. Ziyech is unlikely to play in the Carabao Cup finals this weekend after limping off the ground at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
2.Reece James
Obviously, the English right-back has been practicing with the club, but he may be unavailable for Sunday's encounter against Liverpool. In 2021, Reece James was hurt in a match against Brighton Albion. Chelsea have missed his ability and attacking power because César Azpilicueta can not attack like him. Despite this, James is expected to return to the starting lineup against Lille in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg. To make things even worse, he won't be able to play against the Reds this weekend at Wembley Stadium, because Thomas Tuchel doesn't want him to get better too quickly.
The Croatian midfielder, like Hakim Ziyech, limped off the pitch against Lille yesterday and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Mateo Kovacic scored a spectacular screamer against Liverpool in January, and he was incredible and fantastic. He won't be able to play on Sunday due to the fact that he went directly to the tunnel after being subbed off. There is a good chance that in the Carabao Cup finals, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho are going to be in charge of the midfield because they both have the ability to beat Liverpool.
Can Chelsea beat Liverpool without these guys on Sunday?
