THE MYSTERIOUS MAN.

In the early wintertime of December, my family moved into a new house in the outskirts of town. I was almost 19 and I was waiting to go to college. I was a part-time worker in this restaurant in town known for selling horrible food. When my dad broke the news of the relocation to me, I didn't like that decision and I felt really sad that I couldn't stay there any longer. He could no longer afford the rent because he had lost his job and my mom's bakery was only feeding us. My income from the work was just a little add up to the feeding. My dad was told by his friend that there was a job opening in a biscuit factory at that side of the town and so we had to move. The house we moved into had no neighbouring houses and it stood secluded at that part of town. My dad took the house because it was really cheap. We had to move in early so that my dad would go in search of that job and my mom would start her bakery business at our new residence. Christmas was approaching and it was getting colder. But I don't think we are even going to celebrate it. Back at my old house I used to go to my only friend Johnny. He was my best friend and brother. We were inseparable until one day he got missing. Everyone looked everywhere for him but he was no where to be found. After a month, they just assumed he was dead even though there was no confirmation to that as his body was not found. I was in boarding school at that time and the news was delivered to me when I came back on vacation. I still think of him and if indeed he is dead, I hope to see him in heaven one day. I have been the only child of my parents and anytime I ask my them about me having other siblings or they giving birth to more children, they comit red herring- they just change the topic. I feel like there is something they are hiding from me and I am going to find out one day.
