Wilfried Zaha says Conor Gallagher is rousing him to raise his level at Crystal Palace after his late support wrapped up the club's first Premier League win of 2022 against Watford.
Zaha scored two times in the last five minutes at Vicarage Road as Palace embarrassed their previous director Roy Hodgson, who left the south London club the previous summer.
Gallagher had before putting Palace ahead in the primary half and Zaha said: "Everybody realizes what's going on with Conor, the energy and quality he brings to the group.
"Clearly, assuming I'm contending with individuals like that I must move forward also, so it's great to have another person to go up against. I need to raise my game."
Zaha has battled for his best structure this season however he currently has eight Premier League objectives and needs to assist Palace with kicking on after Patrick Vieira's side finished their six-match winless League run." The group that we have permits me to do what I really want to do forthright," he said. "Assuming that I get the through balls and the balls over the top, all I truly need to chip away at is my last touch. That is the thing I'm chipping away at."
Royal residence ultimately depends on eleventh in the table, while transfer compromised Watford stays in the last three and four focuses from security.
"It feels astounding," said Zaha. "I feel like the top portion of the table is the place where we should check out."
