Chief Inspector Lawrence Anane, the police prosecutor, informed the court on September 15, 2021, that the prosecution is awaiting the post-mortem examination findings on the two children allegedly slain by Appiah.
Richard Appiah, 28, is accused of murdering two toddlers in the Bono Region's Abesim. According to the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Anane, the post-mortem on the two bodies was done on September 15 and they are awaiting the entire examination report from the medical officer in order to transmit the duplicate docket to the Attorney General's office for guidance.
To that purpose, the prosecutor requested a brief postponement from the court so that they could finish their report. Appiah is alleged to have murdered the boys and also kept some of their body parts in a fridge in his house.
Even though the charges and the facts were read to him in open court on August 26, when he first appeared, his plea was not taken.
