Genoa's head coach, Alexander Blessin, has explained why he no longer speaks with Jurgen Klopp and believes Liverpool were 'lucky' to defeat Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Before his team's Serie A match against Inter on Friday night, Blessin was asked about his compatriot.
"I haven't spoken to Klopp since Inter-Liverpool because I am very angry with him," he joked during a press conference [via Football Italia ].
"He was the manager of Mainz when I played for Stuttgart Kickers, and he didn't want me in his squad." As a result, I didn't want to talk to him!"
The Reds defeated Inter last week.
Thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, Liverpool took a crucial lead into the second leg at Anfield on March 8.
Blessin believes the Merseyside club was "lucky" to win because both goals came late in the second half.
He added: “I think Inter did really well, making life very difficult for Liverpool. "The outcome does not reflect what occurred during the game between the two teams." In fact, I am convinced that Liverpool were very lucky to win the game.”
Inter manager Simone Inzaghi believes his team 'deserved more' from the defeat, telling Amazon Prime Italia last week: "Unfortunately, during our best period of the game, we were not rewarded with the goal we deserved, then Liverpool scored at the first attempt we had.
"We deserved more, but this performance has to bode well for what's to come in the future." Liverpool is one of Europe's two best teams, and Inter, in my opinion, held out well and deserved more."
