For the first time ever since 1992, Association of Students of English (ASSENS) which hails from the Department of English within the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Communication and Media Studies in the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) releases its maiden newspaper edition.

Credit goes to the current President, Samuel Kwesi Minlah and his Vice, Gemedi Gifty, for the office of the editor which is a new unit within ASSENS, releases the first of its kind, an ASSENS periodic newspaper template known as PRIDE OF UEW for the language-based unit as it kick starts its brightening agenda tagged “Our Pride Must Brighten” to levitate the English Department to the public notice of the university and the world at large. 

The ASSENS President and Vice together with ASSENS executives are optimistic to rebranding the ASSENS fraternity to become one of UEW’s biggest pride. 

The Layout Editor of the Editorial Board, better known as Evans Dynamics, added that the first episode of the maiden edition is expected to be out on Monday, the 28th of February, 2022.
