Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted who will win the Carabao Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool this weekend.
On Sunday evening, Chelsea and Liverpool will face off in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
The Blues are coming off a 2-0 Champions League victory over Lille, while Liverpool thrashed Leeds United 6-0 in the Premier League.
Owen predicted that Liverpool would defeat Chelsea 2-1 in the final, with Mohamed Salah scoring the game-winning goal.
"This is a difficult one to call," the former Real Madrid star said. Chelsea has won, but I don't believe they have played well. There is clearly a problem with Lukaku, and Thomas Tuchel must make a big decision for this game. They are still among the best defensively, and they will need to be at their best here.
"Liverpool are playing at their best football of the season." The squad appears to be in good shape, and Klopp must make some important decisions. For a long time, the front three was picked for them, but with players like Jota and Luis Diaz in such good form, that is no longer the case. Winning a trophy at Wembley is the only thing missing from Klopp's trophy cabinet, so they'll be all in. I believe it will be a close game, but I believe Liverpool will win. 2-1, and I wouldn't be surprised if Salah scored the game-winning goal."
