All Russian worldwide and club teams have been barred from competing in FIFA and UEFA competitions.
FIFA as well as UEFA have indefinitely suspended all Russian international diplomatic and club teams from both their own contests "until further notice," according to a joint statement issued by the two governing bodies on Monday.
FIFA and UEFA, the governing bodies of world football and European soccer, said their presidents, Gianni Infantino and Aleksander eferin, "hope that perhaps the situation in Ukraine will improve significantly and quickly so that soccer can again be a vector for harmony as well as tranquility amongst people."
