According to Juenes Footeux, Arsenal is looking for a center-forward this summer after releasing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang without finding a replacement.
Mikel Arteta has Alexandra Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah, and Gabriel Martinelli to lead the line for the rest of the season, but he won't have any options in the summer.
Lacazette's contract will expire in the coming months, and he has stated that he has no intention of signing an extension, so he will be released on a free transfer in July.
Nketiah's contract is also coming to an end, and he has turned down a new deal with Emirates, so he appears to be on his way out once again.
Martinelli has only four goals in 23 games this season and cannot be counted on to contribute in 2022/23.
Arsenal, on the other hand, is having difficulties. They lack the clout to compete with the biggest European clubs and must temper their transfer expectations.
That means Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are likely out of their price range, but Patrick Schick is rumored to be a transfer target.
The 26-year-old led Euro 2020 scoring with five goals in five games last summer, and his form has continued at club level.
Schick has 20 goals in 24 games this season for Leverkusen, so it's easy to see why Arsenal is interested.
And, despite the fact that the Czech Republic international has three and a half years left on his BayArena contract, Juenes Footeux believes he could be permitted to leave for the right price.
According to the report, Leverkusen may demand around €60 million (£50 million), while Schick's salary is estimated to be €100,000 per week/€5.2 million per year (£83.6 million per week/£4.3 million per year).
The 26-year-recent old's form for club and country has increased his value, with Leverkusen paying only €29 million (£24.2 million) for him in 2020.
Schick appears to be the genuine article. He has 33 goals and five assists in 60 games for Leverkusen and 17 goals and six assists in 33 games for Germany, so if Arsenal could entice him away from Germany, they would be signing a tried-and-tested striker.
